Plain-English summary: AutoClarity provides repair cost estimates as a reference tool — not professional mechanical advice. Our numbers come from real data sources, but actual prices vary. Use the app to make more informed decisions, not as a final word. Don't misuse the service. That's the gist.
By downloading, accessing, or using the AutoClarity mobile application or any associated website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AutoClarity.ai ("AutoClarity," "we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after any updates means you accept the new Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use AutoClarity. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
AutoClarity is a mobile application that helps car owners evaluate auto repair estimates. The Service allows you to:
AutoClarity is provided as a consumer reference tool. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.
Certain features of AutoClarity require you to create an account. You may register using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google or Apple.
You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.
You agree to use AutoClarity only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action — including terminating your account — against anyone who violates these provisions.
AutoClarity provides estimates for reference purposes only. Our pricing information is not a guarantee, quote, or professional assessment. Actual repair costs vary by shop, vehicle condition, parts availability, and many other factors.
The cost comparisons generated by AutoClarity are calculated using publicly available data sources — including Bureau of Labor Statistics labor rate data, published parts pricing, and standard repair labor hour estimates. They are intended to help you make a more informed decision, not to replace a professional inspection or diagnosis.
AutoClarity is not a licensed mechanic, automotive technician, or repair shop. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional mechanical, technical, or financial advice.
Parts prices, labor rates, and repair costs change frequently. The estimates AutoClarity displays are based on data available at the time of your request and may not reflect current market conditions. Always get a written estimate from a licensed repair facility before authorizing work.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AutoClarity is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
While we make reasonable efforts to keep our data accurate and current, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any pricing information, labor rate data, parts pricing, or other content provided through the Service.
AutoClarity contains links to third-party websites and services, including parts suppliers (RockAuto, eBay Motors) and maps services (Google Maps). We may earn affiliate commissions when you purchase parts through these links.
You acknowledge that:
AutoClarity disclaims any liability arising from your use of third-party websites, products, or services accessed through the Service.
AutoClarity and its content — including but not limited to the app design, algorithms, text, graphics, user interface, data compilations, and software — are owned by AutoClarity.ai and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works of, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service without our express written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.
You retain ownership of the information you submit to AutoClarity (repair descriptions, vehicle data, etc.). By submitting this information, you grant AutoClarity a limited license to use it solely to provide and improve the Service.
You agree that the information you enter is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not designed to mislead or manipulate the Service.
We may use aggregated, de-identified data derived from user submissions (e.g., average repair costs by region) to improve the Service, publish market insights, or share with partners. This data cannot be used to identify you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AutoClarity.ai, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from:
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims related to the Service exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AutoClarity.ai and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
You may stop using AutoClarity at any time by deleting the app. You may delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account, which will permanently remove your personal data within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice — including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Sections 5, 7, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will try to resolve most disputes within 30 days of receiving notice.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and AutoClarity agree to resolve it through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted in Atlanta, Georgia, or via remote hearing. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceeding will be conducted on an individual basis only, and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
